The college merch experience has been running on outdated hardware for decades: scratchy sweatshirts, recycled logos, and color palettes that feel more washed-out than school spirit. Shooshani’s spark came when his younger sister got into the University of Michigan. After a trip to the campus bookstore, she returned unimpressed—calling the gear dull, uninspired, and off-brand for her generation. That feedback lit the boosters.
Shooshani didn’t just sketch logos—he ran ground tests. Over 100 student interviews across 60 universities confirmed the same signal: today’s merch was broken. Instead of building for gameday hype, he designed for everyday orbit: what he calls quiet, comfort luxury for the off-duty college student.
The Maplehouse payload? American-grown cotton, clean silhouettes, elevated embroidery, and curated color palettes. It’s apparel that says “school pride” without screaming it. Style-first, comfort-forward, built for the real student journey—from red-eyes to rec halls, lazy Sundays to seminar marathons.
Shooshani is no stranger to campus culture. His previous venture, Inked Sports, connected athletes with brands—giving him a direct line to what students actually want. Maplehouse takes that insight and rewrites the entire playbook for collegiate style.
