When Tyler Shooshani looked at college sweatshirts, he saw a multi-billion-dollar industry that had lost its pulse. While 90% of students were craving modern, fashion-forward apparel, university bookstores were still offering the same boring logos on scratchy tees. Tyler realized that while school pride is eternal, the way students express it had evolved.
A veteran of campus culture and founder of Inked Sports, Tyler is a practitioner of listening closely. He interviewed over 100 students across 60 universities who told him that current options "absolutely sucked." Tyler began his rebellion.
Tyler’s approach is part fashion label, part archival research. He obsesses over the quiet luxury of American-grown cotton and unique finishing techniques like chainstitch embroidery. Looking past the typical logos, he digs through university archives from the 1890s to the 1970s to reimagine a school’s heritage for the off-duty student.
