2 the Moon Ventures Celebrates Rujo X Hurdle Collaboration

2 the Moon Ventures is excited to announce a recent collaboration between two of the investment vehicle’s portfolio companies, Rujo Boots, a leading provider of premium and exotic leather boots, and Hurdle, a performance-driven apparel brand. Rujo and Hurdle recently joined forces to launch a specialty line of boot socks designed for Rujo’s customer base of cowboy boot enthusiasts.

Based in Dallas, 2 the Moon Ventures is helmed by ParkHub founder George Baker, Sr. The firm is founder-focused, providing capital, advisory services, and strategic resources ranging from sales & marketing to finance, human resources, corporate strategy, and more. While the firm has expanded its investments to Austin and outside of Texas, 2 the Moon Ventures remains true to its core mission as a catalyst for the growing Dallas-Fort Worth entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The 2 the Moon Ventures portfolio spans multiple corners of technology (SaaS, AI, business intelligence), business services, consumer packaged goods, food & beverage, real estate, and more.

The collaborative effort between two of the firm’s Dallas-based “rockets,” co-branded as Rujo X Hurdle, combines the companies’ shared expertise in footwear and dedication to innovation. Rujo Boots’ men’s and women’s boots are designed in Dallas, Texas, and handcrafted in León, Mexico. Every pair is fitted with Rujo’s CloudWalk memory foam insoles for unparalleled fit and feel. Hurdle’s socks feature proprietary technology that provides optimal weight distribution, shock absorption, and breathability in wear. The result - a boot sock that is steps ahead of competitors.

"Boot socks are a natural upsell opportunity for our brand and a product that has been sought after by many of our dedicated customers,” said Kate Valbracht, Head of Revenue at Rujo Boots. “By working with the expert team at Hurdle, we are able to not only fulfill the

demand but offer an innovative product that reflects the quality and comfort our boots are known for.”

"Hurdle is thrilled to be partnering with Rujo as they continue to make waves in the cowboy boot market,” said Taylor Matter, Founder of Hurdle Apparel. “Hurdle’s Matrix Technology is the perfect complement for Rujo’s built in Cloud Walk cushioning, setting a new standard for comfort in the space.

Baker, Managing Partner of 2 the Moon Ventures added, “This is a prime example of how companies at early stages of growth can garner success through collaboration. By realizing a shared focus and executing nimbly on an opportunity, we can deliver greater value to both our customers and our business.”
